How to design
A bespoke piece of jewellery
Creating a bespoke piece of jewellery is a truly special experience. Personal, meaningful, and entirely your own. Whether it’s an engagement ring, a milestone gift, or a long-held dream design, the piece we create together will reflect your style, story, and vision. From our first consultation to the moment you see your finished piece, Ilaysa and Merel guide you through every step, making the journey as unforgettable as the jewellery itself. The process from start till finished product takes generally 3 weeks.

Introduction
The bespoke design process starts with a call between yourself and Ilaysa. The call is an opportunity for Ilaysa to discuss the bespoke design process in detail, to get to know you and learn more about your wishes, budget, and design ideas

In person or online designing consult
Next, based on your preference, we meet either in person or virtually for a design consultation. Building on everything we’ve learned from our first call, we’ll explore design possibilities together.
I will be prepared with thoughtfully curated ideas, examples, and inspiration. During this session, we will define both the aesthetic vision and the technical specifications, shaping a precise and beautiful blueprint for your bespoke piece

3D CAD Design and approval
Next, we reach an exciting milestone in the process: The creation of your CAD. A 3D Computer-Aided Design that brings your vision to life in precise detail. This digital model captures every element we discussed, from the technical specifications to the finest aesthetic touches. Revisions can be made until the design flawlessly reflects your vision, ensuring complete confidence before we move into crafting.
Once you approve the 3D CAD design, we request a 50% initial investment to proceed.

Approval, Gemstones and Crafting
With this in place, we begin sourcing the perfect Gemstones to match your budget and wishes. We handpick each stone ourselves in the capital of Diamonds, Antwerp. When we find stones that meet your vision, we’ll share photos and videos for your approval. Only once you are completely happy with the selection, we begin crafting your piece. Your piece will be handcrafted by our amazing goldsmiths, bringing your vision to life with exceptional skill and care. The crafting tipically takes 10 to 14 days.

Delivery day
Once your bespoke piece is finished, we will wrap your piece in our signature, gift-ready packaging, turning the moment you open it into a celebration. Then Ilaysa or Merel will be in touch to arrange collection or secured delivery. We’ll discuss the options available to ensure your jewellery reaches you safely and beautifully presented.
